Art Direction, Photography, Styling, Design — A summer campaign with bright colorful images for web, organic social, and ad placements.
For this project I wore the hat of art director, photographer, and social media strategist. I was tasked with creating a look and feel for our summer sale, down to the final assets for web, social, ads, etc.
A Visual Change of Pace
Palm's visual style is typically minimal and neutral. To create an eye catching change of pace for this summer sale campaign I opted to flip this script a bit, and instead make images with a wide range of bold, saturated color.
My aim was to evoke a feeling of summer in a photo— while promoting our mophie battery case, and product use cases that encourage users to get outside.

Behind the Scenes
Because the pandemic put severe limitations on how we could create content, I ended up setting up a makeshift photo studio in my living room to capture these image. In the end it worked well, and a simple lighting set up created very effective images.
Ad & Social Assets
Below are samples of the ads I designed for paid placements, using both still life product, and outdoor lifestyle photography.
Ads were used for both paid social and Google display ad placements.
(Organic social posts used the same base images, without text overlay)
